inspireDC has never been a snow doubter, being a midwestern gal who has seen her share of storms. but in case there are snOMGers outside DC thinking we are exhaggerating, here is the view from the balcony at the Capitol this evening.

those who have seen it in person, or have seen this post know that the reward at the end of the view is usually the washington monument.

inspireDC hearts miss pixie's

inspireDC is never, ever, ever disappointed by a trip to Miss Pixie's. time was that not a weekend went by without a stop into the shop, first in Adam's Morgan, then at the other shop in Adam's Morgan on 18th, and now in the big, fun spot on 14th Street. over the years there have been some major scores. and short of a trip to the store, at the beginning of the week Pixie kindly updates her website with new inventory.

so taking a look at this week's new finds, inspireDC is thinking this could be a cute little side table in the nursery...for just $45 bucks.


or even something fun like this, also at Pixie's for just $75 bucks.

inspireDC feels a holiday weekend stop by in her future...and speaking of weekend, inspired by many recent late night crafty blogy searches, inspireDC is thinking of taking on this little project. wish her luck!

Brooklyn Bride holiday card swap

inspireDC took a break from holidaywork, holidayparties, holidaywrapping & holidaypacking and spent a few creative hours making cards for the Brooklyn Bride Holiday card swap.

inspireDC is going back to her michigan roots and spreading Dairy Queen hot fudge around the nation's capitol!
